The Management of the agricultural enterprise from the appliance of space navigation and remote sensing of the Earth

6 - November 11, 2016, in Sochi the eleventh meeting of the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite SIS topics (ICG) under the patronage of the United Nations was held. Among the Russian delegation representatives there was an expert of workshops present, Professor E.F. Shulga.

Shulga Professor E.F. made the presentation on the theme "The management of vocational training within the agricultural enterprise in real time with the appliance of GNSS."
From the report made: "... in order to optimize the processes and decisions in real time the following is needed: the model implementa-tion for the operational plan of works, monitoring of losses in real time and the model of the controlled subject-entity. All work (on sta-tionary and moving objects) is connected to the form of the united technological process.
The model implementation for the operational plan of work includes the simulation technologies, spatial-temporal data, quality, devia-tions quality-operation, losses from degradation of quality.
Objects are equipped with navigation control and on-board equipment.
The required reliability of the remote operational management of deviations has been achieved through anticipation and operational management. UAVs and digital terrain model are used to provide current-information about the real-world environment, needed to pre-empt the losses...

In recommendation under the number 1 of the Work-Group C the following is written – the spreading out of the information about higher awareness concerning the appliance of GNSS on the Eleventh meeting of the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG), the UNN representatives stated: "Working group C recognizes the experience of the University Timiryazev Academy and appreciates the advantages of the monograph "agricultural enterprise management using the space means of navigation (GLONASS) and remote sensing of the Earth ", and recommends to use the monograph in ICG information centers

Goryachkin on the subject "Optimization of Transport Flows in Agrarian and Industrial Complex". Academic system

University implements three-level educational system:

  1. Bachelor's Degree (BSc) of 4 years
  2. Master's Degree (MSc) of 2 years
  3. Postgraduate courses (PhD) of 3 years

The academic year starts on September, 1.

The Bachelors program consists of several modules and multiple subjects lasting 4 years and comprising 240 ECTS credits; the Masters program is 2 years in duration and comprises 120 ECTS.

Credits are measured in terms of the hours of study involved: one credit is equivalent to a study load of 36 hours. ECTS credits are numerical values allocated to course units to describe the student workload required to complete them through lectures, practical work, seminars, individual work and examinations or other assessments. The qualification of future specialists is based on courses in the humanities, social sciences, economics and mathematics departments, as well as natural compulsory and optional courses. The programs of the first and second year of study include fundamental core courses that are similar for all specializations. The programs of the third and fourth year are comprised of specialization courses that students can choose based on their professional interest and experience already accumulated. After the third year of theoretical study, students can participate in conducting research, which is an essential part of their diploma theses.

Linguistic Educational Center

Linguistic Educational Center “LINGVA-MAA” was open at the University in 2002.

The Center provides professional linguistic training of the University students. On the successful graduation the additional qualification “Interpreter in the sphere of professional communication” is conferred Studied languages are English, German and French.

In 2005 the first graduates of the University who studied foreign languages for three years in Linguistic Center were conferred Diplomas of interpreters. Language training has greatly improved their chances to find good job placements.

Creation of a real verbal environment promotes the efficiency of language training process. Students attend lectures of foreign specialists, take active part in international conferences and workshops, work as booth assistants at home and international fairs, provide language support at international conferences and seminars held at the University, accompany foreign students delegations and specialists, and translate foreign scientific literature. Students have language practice during three-year training at the Linguistic Educational Center; in the end of the training they take the State Qualification Examination.

The Center’s activities are conducted with the desire to help all students to become qualified interpreters in the sphere of professional communication and benefit from the chosen program of language training.
