The Cup of Russia in the modern pentathlon was held in Moscow. Athletes found out the strongest ones in swimming, fencing, horse riding, running and pistol shooting. Anastasia Chistyakova, a postgraduate student of the Timiryazev Academy, took part in the competition.

A total of 44 athletes from across Russia took part in the event. Among them were world champions, winners of world and European championships, winners of the All-Russian Spartakiade of the Strongest.

Anastasia Chistyakova, a postgraduate student of the Institute of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, competed for the Russian Cup. The athlete took the lead in her group from the very first stages of the competition.
