As part of the visit to the university, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Benin Republic to the Russian Federation, Akambi Andre Okounlola Biaou, met with the rector of the university, Professor Vladimir Trukhachev.

The meeting between the head of the Timiryazev Academy and the head of the Benin diplomatic mission took place in a particularly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The fact is that Mr. Akambi Andre Okounlola Biaou is a graduate of the Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineers, which became part of the Timiryazev Academy in 2014. The ambassador kept a good memory of the alma mater and arrived at his home university with a visit of gratitude.

In addition, Mr. Akambi Andre Okounlola Biaou discussed with our rector the prospects for cooperation between Timiryazev Academy and scientific and educational organizations of the Benin Republic. The African state is interested in the training of professional personnel and the inflow of modern technologies in the agricultural sector, which makes up 30% of Benin's economy.
In turn, Vladimir Trukhachev congratulated the guest on the inauguration of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Benin to the Russian Federation, which took place in October this year, and wished him success in his professional activities.

At the end of the meeting, Akambi Andre Okounlola Biaou met with students from Benin. During the visit, the distinguished guest visited the Institute of Mechanical and Power Engineering named after V.P. Goryachkin, where he got acquainted with the material and technical base of the departments. The ambassador highly appreciated the modern laboratories and educational classes that the institute has recently received at its disposal.
