Vladimir I. Trukhachev, Rector of Timiryazev Academy, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, discussed the development of cooperation and implementation of joint scientific and educational projects with Brazilian partners. Promising areas of cooperation are agroecology, fertilizer use and soil degradation, plant breeding and genetics. The universities are interested in network educational programs and academic mobility programs for teachers and students.
Vladimir Trukhachev shared with colleagues the plans for further international cooperation of the University. Thus, currently there are 102 agreements with organisations from 22 countries, including two universities in Brazil. By the end of 2024, 14 more agreements are to be made. Prospective partner universities include the State University of Campinas and the Federal University of Tocantins.
