The development of agrarian education and science, the provision of human resources for the agro-industrial complex, the use of digital technologies in the educational process - these and other topical issues were discussed by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev with the rector of the Russian State Agricultural University named after K.A. Timiryazev, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Trukhachev. The topics of the meeting were also the results of the university's work last year and key tasks for the current one, which was announced by the President of Russian Federation as the Year of Science and Technology.
Festival of student creativity "Spring in Timiryazevka" is on! Concerts of institutes and faculties will begin on March 22 and will last until April 2. Every day, students, graduate students, teachers and staff will meet at exactly 18:00 in the concert hall of the 29th academic building. All concerts will be held in compliance with the rules and regulations aimed at countering the spread of coronavirus infection.
Preparations for the festival are in full swing: rehearsals, sleepless nights, excitement, because this will be one of the first large-scale events of the university after the weakening of the restrictive measures caused by the pandemic. The organizers decided to combine the joy of meeting with the audience and the stage into the main leitmotif of the student holiday - "The Formula of Happiness". Following a good long-term tradition, the Kaluga academy branch of the University will join the festival. All performances programs will be reviewed by an expert jury, after which the winners will be determined, and the best performances will be included in the gala concert. It will take place on April 8th.
The "Spring in Timiryazevka" Festival dates back to the middle of the 20th century. For many decades, the Timiryazev Academy has become a place of attraction for creative youth.
Alpine skiing competitions were held within the framework of the XXXIII Moscow Student Sports Games. According to the results, the team of the Timiryazev Academy took second place in the overall team classification, and the team captain Anastasia Miko became the gold medalist in the individual competition.
The three best teams were determined among the teams of 12 capital universities. Athletes competed in individual and team events. The team of the Timiryazev Academy performed excellently: the team became the silver medalist of the annual competition. Also in slalom and giant slalom Anastasia Miko, a student of the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Faculty, was recognized as the best. The athlete ran the first and second tracks in giant slalom in 32.62 seconds, and in slalom - in 37.46 seconds, ahead of 21 competitors.
The international concern "Bayer", specializing in biomedical solutions for healthcare and agriculture, invites students of the Timiryazev Academy to take part in the "BayStudy" competition.
The competition is aimed at supporting and increasing the level of students knowledge in the field of plant protection and related areas. Specialists of the Timiryazev Academy will develop a training program for agricultural workers on nanotechnological methods of protecting agricultural plants. The initiative was supported by the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of the RUSNANO Group. The educational program is dedicated to the topic “Plant protection products and growth stimulants based on nanobiotechnologies”. According to the project, the developed program will contribute to the introduction of innovative solutions in the field of plant protection and growth stimulants, and will also allow the audience to get acquainted in more detail with modern nanotechnological solutions in the field of crop production. In the course of training, students will master the basic methods of diagnosing diseases of agricultural crops, planning and organizing events in the field of plant protection, analyzing the results of using biological agents, assessing the quality of biological products, and much more.
