The University was adequately represented at the International Exhibition "AGROS-2021»
In one of the pavilions of the Crocus Expo exhibition complex, Russia's largest exhibition of technologies for animal husbandry and feed production, AGROS-2021, was held. This year, hundreds of participants from 16 countries discussed issues related to the theme "Healthy animals – healthy consumers".
Employees and more than 100 students of the Institute of Economics and Management of the Agro-Industrial Complex got acquainted with the exhibition, and also attended a number of events of the business program dedicated to topical issues of the agricultural industry development, digitalization of the agro-industrial sector, etc.
During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the winners of the AGROS Innovation Award Competition were awarded. According to its results, the work of our team was awarded a silver medal.
"International Timiryazevka": a celebration of national creativity in a new format
While in the auditorium, the audience went on a journey to the amazing places of our planet, studying the beautiful cultural traditions and customs of various nations. For example, during the performance of students from Chad, the audience became guests of the national wedding celebration.
The bright international festival of national creativity was attended by both Timiryazev residents and students of other Moscow universities, in particular, the Peoples Friendship University of Russia and the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. In total, more than 150 people from 60 countries of the world.
At the end of the concert, Rector V. I. Trukhachev presented Certificates of Honor to the students for organizing and actively participating in the festival "International Timiryazevka".
Timiryazevka's student is among the winners of the World Fencing Championship
The world championship in fencing among juniors was held in Cairo. The 1st year student of the Department of Biotechnology of the RTSAU Aleksey Udovichenko brilliantly performed at the competitions. The performance of the athlete brought a victory to the Russian national team.
According to the results of the world championship among juniors, the Russian national team confidently topped the medal standings, having won 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals. Currently, Alexey Udovichenko already has the title of "Master of Sports", is the silver medalist of the European Championship, the silver medalist of the Russian Championship, and is also a member of the Russian fencing team.
Top Russian officials got acquainted with the university's developments
The “Russian School Students” Movement invited the Timiryazev Academy to participate in its exhibition "Big School Picnic".
At the event in “Gostiny Dvor”, the Institute of Agrobiotechnologies of the RT SAU presented models of a VR laboratory and a city farm. The University's developments were presented in the "Science" section.
Hundreds of guests of the exhibition were keenly interested in the work of innovative structures, including First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov and Head of the Presidential Administration for Public Projects Sergey Novikov.

Timiryazev Academy held a large-scale Open Day
The country's main agricultural university opened its doors to high school students, graduates of technical schools and colleges to talk about the professions in demand in the modern agricultural sector. A rich and exciting program awaited the guests of the event. The geography of applicants included more than ten regions of the country. In addition to the capital's schoolchildren, the university was visited by guests from Tver, Tula, Vladimir, Kaluga, Leningrad, Penza and other regions.
On behalf of the team of many thousands of the Timiryazev Academy, the rector of the university, Professor Vladimir Trukhachev addressed the prospective applicants and their parents.
The head of the university noted that the Timiryazev Academy is the only agricultural university in Russia included in the “QS” international ranking and the prestigious Green Metrix world ranking of the most environmentally friendly universities.
Future students learned that our university is actively developing international cooperation with 96 countries of the world. Students annually train on exchange programs with universities in France, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Romania, Turkey, China. Our diploma is highly regarded not only in Russia, but also abroad. Additionally, students got acquitted with the possibilities of the international dialog on site of our university – students club “TIMSTUDY” invites newcomers to come along and get experience in international interaction, learning new languages and share ones’ experience in a friendly and convenient atmosphere.
