Rectors of the leading agricultural universities of the Commonwealth of Independent States discussed the integration of education and science
The participants of the discussion were heads of 19 universities from 10 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by the rector of the Timiryazev Academy, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Association of Agricultural Universities of Russia "Agroeducation" Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. The head of the university presented a report to his colleagues on the topic "Scientific and educational projects of the Timiryazev State Agrarian University-Moscow State Agricultural Academy and directions for the development of cooperation between universities of the CIS countries"
An agreement was reached between the Commonwealth of Independent States universities on holding joint winter and summer schools, internships for young scientists, doctoral students, postgraduates, undergraduates in research laboratories and centers that have been accredited and are open to all scientists and teachers.
Timiryazev Academy became the first Russian agricultural university in the QS World Ranking
Russian Timiryazev State Agrarian University for the first time in the history of Russian agricultural education entered the most prestigious international rating World University Rankings 2022. The British rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds compiled a fresh list.
According to the results of the international ranking QS World University Rankings 2022, Timiryazev Academy became the first and only agricultural university in Russia, included in the list of the best higher educational institutions in the world. The University is on the 1201st place out of 1300 participants in the ranking, representing 97 countries of the world.

Cooperation with JSC "Rosagroleasing" and LLC "Amazone" goes into practice
The university hosted a working meeting between the rector, Professor Vladimir Trukhachev with the first deputy general director of JSC Rosagroleasing Alexander Suchkov and the general director of LLC Amazone Alexey Zykov.
The purpose of the visit of representatives of partner companies of the Timiryazev Academy was to discuss areas of cooperation, one of which would be interaction with the specialized departments of the university. During the meeting, it became known that Rosagroleasing, together with Petersburg Tractor Plant JSC, will open a training laboratory for automation and digitalization in RT SAU. It will be located in the 26th academic building in room 140. The laboratory will be designed to train undergraduate and graduate students in the design features of modern and promising domestic tractors, including those equipped with remote control and monitoring systems.

Timiryazev Academy is in the top hundred of the best Russian universities in the RAEX rating
The RAEX rating agency has published a rating of the 100 best universities in Russia. One of the main findings of the 2021 ranking is the strengthening of the positions of universities that train specialists for socially significant areas, which include agriculture. The Timiryazev Academy is recognized as the leader among agricultural universities. Compared to last year, the RT SAU moved up 6 positions and took 56th place.
The RAEX rating agency is the largest agency in the field of non-credit ratings. The agency is engaged in the compilation of rankings, the assignment of non-credit ratings, industry and market research and events related to its analytical activities.

Our student won gold and bronze at the European Aquatics Championships
Andrey Zhilkin, a master's student of the Department of Plant Growing and Meadow Ecosystems, never ceases to delight the alma mater and the whole country with victories in prestigious international sports competitions.
As part of the Russian relay team at a distance of 4 x 100 meters freestyle, Andrei Zhilkin won the champion title, and at a distance of 50 meters butterfly became a bronze medalist. Now the athlete continues to actively train - he is preparing to represent Russia as part of the national team at the Olympic Games, which will start on July 23 in Tokyo.
