Graduate students of Timiryazev academy were trained at the Vavilov school in the Kuban

b img62The Vavilov School of Young Scientists "Plant Genetic Resources: Preservation and Use in Breeding for the Food Security of the Russian Federation" was held at the branches of the All-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources.

The concept of the Vavilov School program is focused on issues of breeding work on agricultural crops that are a priority for ensuring food security in Russia and import substitution - wheat, sunflower, sugar beet, soybeans and others.

This year, 27 young scientists from St. Petersburg, the Novosibirsk Region, Yakutia, Adygea, the Krasnodar Territory and Moscow became participants in the Vavilov School. Among them are master students of the Institute of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture of the RT SAU Yulia Degtyareva and Victoria Kulagina. Representatives of the Timiryazev Academy noted that the visit to the Kuban Genetic Seed Bank made it possible to get an idea of the approaches to modern gene banking, and participation in the School itself provided an opportunity not only to acquire new knowledge, but also to get acquainted with colleagues from all over Russia, to exchange experience with them.

As a result of participation in the program, Yu. Degtyarevа and V. Kulaginа received documents on advanced training.

The participants of the summer school on plant breeding became known

From June 26 to July 9, 2022 RSAU-MAA named after K.A. Timiryazev and the Skoltech Innovation Center are preparing a rich program on modern plant breeding technologies. Participants will get acquainted with the most modern technologies used in plant breeding, take part in practical laboratory classes and master classes. The program of the School includes visits to leading breeding companies, research centers and laboratories.

In total, more than 90 applications from 27 regions of Russia were received for participation in the Summer School 2022. Students of agricultural universities of the CIS countries actively showed themselves in the competitive selection. Based on the evaluation results of the competition commission, the final list of school participants included 34 students of agronomic and biological specialties from 15 regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The participation in the Summer School will be free of charge for participants: the organizers will pay for travel to the venue, accommodation and meals.

Timiryazev academy became a co-organizer of an international conference in Serbia

In March of this year, the RSAU-MAA named after K.A. Timiryazev and the Serbian University "Soyuz-Nikola Tesla" signed a Memorandum of Understanding, one of the points of which is the holding of joint scientific events. Thus, within the framework of the agreement, partner universities organized the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference. The event took place in the city of Nis.

The participants of the plenary session showed interest in the scientific research of the Timiryazev academy students and stuff and discussed the issues of innovative management of economic and technological processes, digitalization of the economy, the use of IoT to improve environmental safety and economic efficiency of production. They also touched upon the issues of optimizing food production technologies and many other areas on which the effectiveness of the implementation of current tasks to overcome global challenges depends.

We invite young scientists and specialists to participate in the international conference

The Timiryazev Academy invites young scientists and specialists to take part in the International Scientific Conference dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the A.N. Kostyakov birth. The science event will take place on June 6-8, 2022.

Postgraduate students, researchers, young scientists and teachers, representatives of industrial enterprises under the age of 35, doctors of sciences - up to 39 years old can become participants in the scientific event.

Our Rector met with scholarship holders of the “Bolashak” international program

b img627At a meeting with the Professor Trukhachev, participants of the international scholarship program "Bolashak" discussed the results of the internship at the university. As part of the event, the head of the university presented a certificate to the S.U. Kosanov – first scholarship holder who successfully completed his internship at the Timiryazev Academy.

Addressing the meeting participants, Rector Vladimir Trukhachev noted that the Timiryazev Academy is one of 8 Russian universities recommended for training Kazakh specialists and researchers under the Bolashak scholarship program. The University, having the brand quality of fundamental knowledge in the field of agriculture, makes every possible effort to transfer the accumulated experience to foreign colleagues.
